54^th Annual Art Fair on the Square

Lake Forest, Illinois

The 54th annual Art Fair on the Square will be held Sunday August 31 and Monday September 1, 2008. The location of this outdoor art show is Market Square in Lake Forest, Illinois. The art festival is a highly rated, well-attended event of long standing.

The Art Fair on the Square is the Deer Path Art League’s signature event. The art festival helps us fulfill our mission to bring the visual arts to the community. This year 180 artists will be selected to participate. These artists are selected through a jury process after reviewing submitted images of their art. Last year over 600 national and international artists from across the United States applied to participate in this event. 

Selected artists for 2008 will include those working in the areas of: Ceramics, Digital Art, Drawing/Pastels, Fiber, Glass, Graphics/Printmaking, Jewelry-Precious, Jewelry-Non-precious, Metal, Mixed Media, Painting-Acrylic, Painting-Oil, Painting-Watercolor, Photography, Sculpture, and Wood.

Important Dates:

• February 28, 2008: Application deadline (midnight CST - $35 fee)

• March 15, 2008 Deadline for late applications (midnight CST - $45 fee)

• April 30, 2008: Notification to Artists (e-mail & web site)

• May 15, 2008: Booth Fee due (no refunds after this date)

• August 7, 2008: Artists Information Package e-mailed to artists

• August 31 & September 1, 2008: 54^th Annual Art Fair on the Square
