Drawing and Painting (DP) - Skip Wiese
Can't draw a straight line? Learn not only how to draw a straight line, but a curved, crooked or jagged line. Paint in any medium—oil, pastel, watercolor or mixed media. All levels of expertise.

All Level Watercolor (AWC) - Cheryl Sachs
Challenge yourself. Have a breakthrough. Try something new. In this class we will share ideas and experiences while enjoying the magic of paint flowing on paper. Discover the process of creating shapes, patterns and layering colors together. Bring pictures for inspiration or works in progress.

Watercolor and Mixed Media (WMM) - Lezlie Lenz
Learn the basics of composition, color, texture, and drawing while creating paintings with watercolor. Emphasis is on types of strokes and washes achieved with different paint brushes. We will work with fun exercises that get your creative juices flowing using lots of different media including water-soluble crayons, pencils, and metallic. Cutouts, stencils, textures, carvings, and rubber stamps will be used with a variety of papers.

Young Artists (YA) (3rd-6th grades) - Lezlie Lens
This will be a hands on class exploring drawing and painting with collage, paper sculpture, mask making. There will be a wide range of materials and possibilities available. Material Fee $20

Oil Painting Techniques (OPT) - Christopher Buoscio
Different oil painting techniques will include Ala Prima, Dark Ground, Black and White with color glazes and traditional under painting. Combinations of techniques will also be covered. Pick up a materials list at the Deer Path Art League Gallery.

Painting - Start from where you are (PA) - Doris Volpe
This is a class where beginners feel comfortable, those returning to painting can move forward and advanced students can develop their own style. Students get
lots of help with color and composition while developing their choice of subject material. Oil, acrylic or mixed media may be used on canvas and paper. A studio workshop where members of the class learn from their own experiences. The instructor guides and encourages each student individually. Whether beginner or advanced, students advance at whatever degree their efforts allow.

Etching and Printmaking (EP) - Helen LaCroix
A variety of graphic techniques will be used to make both monoprints and etchings. Emphasis is on experimentation and individual development of style and technique. Beginning and advanced students are welcome. Students may have access to the press at other times when the studio is not in use.

Fearless Watercolor, Power over Your Painting! (FW) - Barbara Farrell
Barbara will share creative watercolor techniques that will take the scare out of watercolor. She will share her favorite techniques with demos and paint- along sessions.

Pastel Landscape Painting (PLP) - Ben Jureviclus
This class explores the brilliance, versatility, and enjoyment of painting with soft (dry) pastels. Over the course of this class, we will discuss and apply the various aspects of proportion, perspective, composition, values, and color. Appropriate for beginning through advanced painters, each person is encouraged to develop proficiency within their own style and technique of painting in a positive and fun environment with lots of individual attention and instruction.

Digital Photography w/Adobe Photoshop or Photoshop Elements (DPA) - David Roth
Have you been working with your digital camera, but can’t seem to get the images to display or print the way you want them? We will cover the basics of digital photography, software, the digital darkroom and printing. Discover how to edit, resize photos, adjust colors, add special effects and more. Requirements: a digital camera, Adobe Photoshop, or Photoshop Elements, Laptop computer (either PC or Mac) or pencil and paper.

Color Equivalent Landscape Oil Painting Workshop (W-CE) - Donna Sands
Using 4 colors and white we will explore landscapes through a colorist’s eye, whether you want to paint representational or abstract. Expect to use bright vibrant colors. If weather allows we will go outside. I will give a demonstration in the morning.

Come experiment with the new, unique and remarkable relaxed "Open" acrylics. These paints by Golden facilitate blending, softening, shading, glazing and fine detail... and with a longer "open" time are an exciting new media for acrylic painters of all sorts. The paints and media allow the use of natural bristle as well as synthetic brushes, and are ideal for portraiture, plein-air painting, monoprinting and

Digital Printing for Fine Artists (W-DP) - Sandra Bacon
Paint, print, photo, digital, handmade or reproduced... these seemingly divergent media combine with these new products. They literally free the digital image to meld with the rich material world of painting: gels, mediums, paint skins, tinfoil, specialty papers. Learn to use your home printer and create photographic transfers, cards, collages, and paintings. We’ll supply the grounds and some new paint skins. You supply the images and we will experiment as well as create beautiful images.

Introduction to Precious Metal Clay (W-PMC) - Beth Parrock
Even if you don’t have a background in metal-work or ceramics you can create your own fine silver jewelry with Precious Metal Clay. The clay, which feels like
potter’s clay, turns into fine silver (.999) after it’s fired in a kiln. Simple tools and basic methods make this medium ideal for any skill level. PMC clay can be purchased from the instructor.

Freestyle Bead Embroidery (W-FBE) - Loraine Stillman
Freestyle embroidery takes the usual beading stitches and applies them to cloth. The results lend themselves both to the creative spirit and decorative embellishment for both clothing and jewelry.
