SUMMER CAMP FOR CHILDREN

Deer Path Summer Camp is Back!
Ages K-8

We will spark creativity and individual expression. Each week a variety of techniques and materials will be used to create artistic projects that stimulate the imagination and open the door to further exploration of the arts. No previous art experience is required. Advanced registration is required for all camps.

Week Two: June 20- June 23, 2011
Sun-sational Summer Scenes
Georgia O’Keeffe; John Marin (current watercolor exhibit at The Art Institute)

Week Three: June 27- June 30, 2011
Beautiful Books and more…
Eric Carle, Children’s Illustrator; David Carter, Pop-up paper engineer

Week Four: July 5- July 7*, 2011
Playing with Pop Art
Keith Haring; Roy Lichtenstein; Jasper Johns

Week Five: July 11- July 14, 2011
Fantastic Folk Art Fun
Molas from Panama; Aboriginal Art

Week Six: July 18- July 21, 2011
Cut, Create and Construct

$150 per 4 afternoon sessions (includes materials)

*Fees will be prorated for shortened holiday week!

Three age groups: K-2nd, 3rd-5th, 6th grade and up

Camp will run from 1:30 - 3:30 at The Gorton Community Center, Lake Forest in the Deer Path Art League Studios.
